Import website event data—including conversions, revenue, and user behavior metrics—directly from your Google Analytics 4 property to bridge the gap between digital traffic and business growth.
Prerequisites
- A Google account with access to at least one GA4 property.
- An active project in MMM Pilot to house the data.
Step-by-Step
1. Initiate the Connection
- Navigate to the Data tab within your project.
- Select Add Data → Google Analytics.
- On the Google Analytics integration card, click Connect.
2. Authenticate with Google
- A secure Google login screen will open in your browser.
- Select the Google account that has access to your GA4 data.
- Grant the requested permissions to allow the platform to read your Analytics statistics.
- Once authorized, you will be automatically redirected back to the platform.
3. Select a GA4 Property
- The integration card will now show a “Select Property” status.
- Choose the specific property you want to model from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
- The status badge will update to Active, signaling you are ready for takeoff.
4. Import Event Data
Once the property is connected, you can choose exactly which signals to include in your analysis:
- Click Start Data Import on the integration card to expand the import dashboard.
- Define Your Window: Use the calendar pickers to set the From and To dates for your data.
- Choose Your Signals: The platform fetches all available GA4 events and provides a 30-day snapshot of their performance:
- Event Details: View the name (e.g.,
purchase,add_to_cart), volume, and monetary value. - Import Count: Toggle this to create a daily field based on the frequency of the event.
- Import Value: Toggle this to capture the daily financial impact (available for events with monetary tracking).

- Finalize: Review the total number of selected metrics in the footer and click Sync Selected Data.
Your selected metrics are now imported and appear as a new data source, ready to be mapped into your next model.
Managing the Connection
Disconnect
If you need to remove the link, click Disconnect on the integration card and confirm. Your previously imported data will remain in the project, but no new data will be synced.
Re-Import
You can update your data or add new event metrics at any time. Simply click Start Data Import again to expand your date range or include additional conversion signals.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Resolution |
| No properties appear in the list | Verify your Google account permissions. Try clicking Retry to refresh the list. |
| No events found after clicking Import | The selected property may not have event data from the last 30 days. Verify your setup in the GA4 console. |
| Authentication fails or times out | Ensure you are granting all requested permissions. Try reconnecting to refresh the secure session. |
| Event values are unavailable | Some events do not track monetary values. In these cases, only “Import Count” is available for analysis. |
